A first date of issue post card 8/27/94, of an artists rendition of
a Landseer. Also included is the Postage Stamp from Bucharest, Romania.
A rare find and one you should have for your collection. You get
the post card and the stamp for the price of the card alone.
Romania is located in Southeastern Europe, bordering the Black Sea.
between Bulgaria and Ukraine. It is slightly smaller than Oregon.
The climate is temperate; cold, cloudy winters with frequent snow and fog,
sunny summers with frequent showers and thunderstorms. They have the
following resources petroleum (reserves declining), timber, natural gas,
coal, iron, ore, salt, arable land, hydropower. They also have natural
hazards of earthquakes, most severe in south and southwest; Geologic
structure and climate promote landslides. Environment current issues
include soil erosion and degradation; water pollution; air pollution
in south from industrial effluents; the capital is Bucharest.

St. Bernard Playing Cards
Unfortunately, I do not have a full deck of any of the cards below. Some are from
decks with a different breed for each number. Others are the backs of cards
that long ago were probably full decks. I have picked up anything with a Saint
on it, so we just get what we can find.
Saint Bernard Playing Card 1... $4.95 each
This is not really a playing card, but is the same size and came from a set
of different breed descriptons.
The following is printed on the back of the card:
" Character: The St. Bernard is a gentleman, powerful, but gentle.
It adores children and is loyal and affectionate, coupled with which it is
supremely intelligent and proves very easy to train. Coat: The coat colour includes orange and mahogany - brindle,
with white markings and black shadings on the face and ears. Size: 55 - 80kg Country Origin: Switzerland."

These cards are from two different classic paintings of dogs playing cards. Fortunately,
both artists were wise enough to include a St. Bernard in their jokes.

This deck of cards was produced in Japan several years ago. There
are several breeds in the deck and each breed is sold as a single
card separately. The St. Bernard in it is the Ace of Spades.

And this set had the St. Bernard as the King of Hearts. He does look royal, doesn't he?

This is a very unusual item, since it is very large at approximately 6 inches
wide and 8 inches high.

probably have the ones that you are looking for.
* We do have discounts if you want to buy more than one.
* We have a couple of copies of some of the cards, and since they are much more
fun when you have a "set", we would be happy to give a discount for multiple
purchases. This can make a set of interesting breed cards quite reasonable.
Truly one of the cheapest unique treats for yourself or a friend (great for
club trophies as well!)
* It is absolutely true that you will often find some of these stamps at very
reasonable prices -- some can be had for under a dollar. On the other hand, if
you add in the gas, hours, and hassles that it has taken to find them, you may
find it easier to just get them from us while we have them :*) I don't always
count on getting more in the near future. I get them when I can find them and
the stock is not always constant.
