This colorful picture was issued by Gallaher in 1936. They were enclosed in packages of Gallaher Cigarettes. The following is printed on the back of the card: "The Boston Terrier, America's national breed, was evolved in England, its ancestors having been a brindle Bull Terrier and a Bulldog. It is curious that it is remarkably like the French Bulldog, the national dog of France. The breed is rather rare in England now, but as it is gaining in popularity numbers are being imported from America to improve the strain. Many Americans Living in England not only own but show their Bostons, the competition being very keen. This dog is a thorough sportman and very active".

These marvelous cards weres put out by the Surbrug Co. of New york 96 years ago in 1911. The cards are from a series titled 'Prize Dog Series No 102. They are in mint condition. They were enclosed in packages of MILO-The Egyptian Cigarette of Quality. The following is printed on the back of the cards: "The BOSTON TERRIER is strictly an american product in matters of dog breeding, his name indicating the place of his origin.
In weight, the BOSTON TERRIER should run from fourteen to thirty-five pounds, the smaller size being preferable for pets. He is derived from a cross between bulldog and the English terrier. Yet the racy build of the terrier, with the quicker powers of action, is much in evidence. Boston Terrier Post Cards

Boston Terriers card from

Boston Terriers
card from Zsa Zsa Gabor This is probably the most unusual postcard I have ever personally run across. It was mailed on August 10, 1961 and sent from Zsa Zsa to Mr. Kurt Lerps. At that time, Zsa Zsa was between husbands. She had divorced George Sanders in 1954 (he later married her sister, Magda) and did not marry Herbert Hunter until 1962. On the back it says, "Dear Kurt, How long it has been since last I heard from you. The osmosis you spoke of in your letter is sooo true. I saw Robert Taylor today, but you know it is only you -- my count, all my love, Zsa Zsa." It is addressed to (Uncle) Kurt Lerps Esq. The card has Faithful Forever on both the front and the back.
Kurt A. Lerps now lives in Brisbane QLD Australia. He directed a play called The Cemetery Club, by Ivan Menchell, from May 15 to June 7, 1997.
What a great treasure for Zsa Zsa AND Boston lovers! Zsa Zsa's favorite quote: "I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man I keep his house."
